'Afternoon Rising' - Grand Staircase NM - Utah

Here is a piece I am in the process of working out the final details.  There are some problems to be solved with lighting and adjustments of color...and a few tweaks to composition.  I will post the completed painting soon and let you know some of my thoughts for my choices when seeking resolution.
